Where movement becomes more than a workout
Kate Ford Fitness was built on a simple idea: fitness should feel good, not intimidating. Whether you're joining a Thursday night POUND® class, a Sunday STRONG Nation® session, or bringing a customised program into your school, seniors' group or community organisation, you'll find the same thing at the heart of it all — a welcoming space where everyone belongs.
Our Vision
To build a community where movement is joyful, inclusive and accessible to all — because we are stronger together.
Our mission
We're here to make fitness feel like something you look forward to, not something you force yourself through.
That means creating classes and programs that meet people exactly where they are — whatever their age, ability or experience — and building a culture around them that's genuinely fun, safe and encouraging.
From helping women rediscover strength in midlife, to teaching children that staying active can be joyful, to creating real opportunities for people with restricted abilities, our mission is simple: to help every person in our community feel stronger, more confident, and never alone in the journey.

Meet KATE
Kate Ford is the founder and driving force behind Kate Ford Fitness. For more than six years, she's been delivering movement programs across the Canberra community — working with preschools, schools, seniors' groups, disability services and people living with disability, alongside running her own adult fitness classes.
Kate's passion stems from a simple frustration: too many people have written themselves off from fitness because of a bad gym experience, an intimidating class, or the belief that they just "aren't the type." She set out to build something different — classes and programs where the music is loud, the culture is warm, and nobody has to feel out of place to get a great workout.
Whether she's coaching a room full of adults through POUND®, designing a tailored program for a disability service, or helping a child discover the joy of movement for the first time, Kate brings the same energy to everything she does: fitness should be fun, it should be inclusive, and it should bring people together.
